(Granted, the girls are grown and gone now.)

Also, for the first 12 years of my life, I lived in a house WITHOUT a bathroom. Two parents and five kids used an outhouse in warm weather and a "pot on the porch" during the long and cold Minnesota winter.

You can do it.

And do your girls really only have six weeks of summer vacation? Here in Minnesota students are off from early June to the day after Labor Day.Minnesota Prairie Rootshttp://mnprairieroots.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1463361194706943677.post-32859975477811313722011-07-16T15:51:15.798-06:002011-07-16T15:51:15.798-06:00YIKES! A table, a mirror, a jug of water and a bowl combined with the chamber pot...everything will be as it should!

ha!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12462124067637610359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1463361194706943677.post-35616945139303107332011-07-16T09:25:57.944-06:002011-07-16T09:25:57.944-06:00Wow I remember those days! But these days we have more bathrooms and they all go to public school.

Ice cream as bribery... I like that! Now to think of something for the eldest as he has decided he doesn't like ice cream. I know! Who doesn't like ice cream? Apparently a 17 year old in the middle of the U.S. in a town that has quite a few seasonal ice cream shops/stands... odd, odd boy, even if I do have to say so myself.

Enjoy your summer!Peggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00082661310058536555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1463361194706943677.post-81328863851302957092011-07-16T05:52:02.719-06:002011-07-16T05:52:02.719-06:00Oh my - one bathroom.
