Feeling A Little Foolish

I don't know if it's just me, or the flax filled banana loaf I ate in one sitting yesterday?

But I'm feeling a little foolish today.
I'm not sure why?
It's just a feeling I can't seem to shake.

Could it be that I forgot my keys for the umpteenth time?
No that's not it.
I've been pretty good on that front lately.
Perhaps it's the losing of my purse under any chair that I happen to place it under.
No...no... that's not it.
I've been purse accountable for at least a week.

Is it possible someone saw me vacuuming the crumbs off my dining room table yesterday?
I don't think? anyone can see through the windows, so that can't be it.

Maybe if I gaze for a while at the above picture,
(which my middle daughter took all by herself yesterday)
I will shake this feeling.
Since I'll just be too busy feeling a sense of foolish pride instead.

It might be possible that I'm feeling like a bit of a fool,
because I only showed four over ripe bananas yesterday in my post,
and I failed to mention I have at least three grocery bags of black banana's in my freezer.
So now I feel an explanation is necessary...

Before I forget though, I want to show you the beautiful flowers The Agronomist bought me the other day. I guess you could say I'm just a fool in love these days.

Now, as I explained to my best friend yesterday
(in a lengthy and deeply profound discussion)
the banana situation is occurring,
because at one time my food choices for breakfast included a slice of toast, some PB and a sliced banana.  So whenever the banana stash was low I became stressed and would refill it immediately.
Seeing the bountiful yellow goodness made me feel happy and sturdy
with the knowledge that I would have breakfast for yet another few days.

Translation:  I would not starve.
It just so happens that my choice of breakfast foods no longer includes the banana,
but as much as I try to overcome the irrational fear of an empty banana bowl,
I cannot.
Thus the blackened banana epidemic at Bungalow'56 occurs at an alarming rate...
I may need to seek professional help.

Whew, I do feel better now...yet the feeling persists?
I just have this spidey sense that someone might be thinking....
Jeez Louise, this blog is written by someone suffering from Fool's disease.
And the only reason I'm thinking this
is because my ears are ringing and all I hear is... April's Fools Day.

But wait!

My name isn't April?
I don't even know an April?
So who the heck is April?  And why does she have her own day?

But Really?
Does it matter?
As long as I'm not the one they are referring to, that's all that counts.
I can't believe I was being so fool hardy?
I just need to relax and stop worrying about any kind of gossipy foolishness.
Because honestly, it's just not worth it, is it?

Instead, I better get back to doing what I love to do,
and that, lately, has been taking some time with my camera,
which by the way I did a lot of last night.
In fact, here is my third selection for Pioneer Woman's Green theme photography assignment.

And this is the second selection I entered yesterday.
It's a picture of my laundry basket.
It makes me think of spring, and that makes me happy!
Possibly too because this is a picture of it empty.

Well...I think I've lost that foolish feeling.
Let me check those inner voices for a second?
Yup, they're gone.
The pictures did the trick.
I hope you all have a great start to your month.

I've finally realized,
only a fool would let silly things like spidey senses and nagging background noises get in their way.
There's just not enough time in this life to worry about that kind of foolishness.

And that my friends, is my final word on the matter.

  5. Dana - All of your photos in this post are just beautiful. I am so impressed with the photo taken by your daughter - she's got talent, that's for sure! I'm with you on the bananas. I had so many in my freezer at one point that I just stopped buying them altogether because I knew they would only end up in the freezer!

  6. I'm glad I'm not alone with the banana craziness. I have managed to work through a lot of them. After all this writing about it though, I think I may have to go back to the banana toast with PB and cinnamon. It is really good.
