I've spent a whole winter ignoring our basement.
But I can't any longer.
I must move forward and be willing to make decisions,
even if they aren't the "right"ones.
Yes people I've been suffering from Paralysis by Analysis.
So I'm starting with my stairwell.
A decision about the brick must be made!
Keep it how it is, with a pinky purple hue....
Or paint it grey?
Not sure.
I'm starting to realize white will end up grey anyway,
with all the hands trailing down the stairs.
Now to decide on a colour scheme...

Now to decide on a colour scheme...
But so is this!
And just to confuse myself a bit more,
I am loooving this colour.
Go figure?
I am loooving this colour.
Go figure?
Can you see why I'm stalled?
And don't even start with me about my Industrial lights.
It turns out they don't give off enough light.
I'm thinking the only answer...
is to move.
xoxo,
PS And just in case you were wondering how The Agronomist is handling my indecision? This pretty much sums up my argument.

We just went with a dull off white so, we won't have to discuss it.
ReplyDeleteI like the dress, so figure out how to put that in there
ReplyDeleteAs much I would say go with the grey... well I've learned from my mistakes... dark, dramatic colors may or may not be the best idea for basements unless one has great lighting. I think my husband would agree with your husband's assessment right about now... because I am thinking about repainting the kitchen. The walls just eat up the light for much of the day. I am so looking forward to see what you decide, then maybe I can start making some decisions... nothing like procrastinating, huh? :)
ReplyDeleteHm...I agree...so many options that it would be hard to just pick one!!! I love many different styles, so am glad that "eclectic" works :o) Oh And I agree with Naperville Now...I love the dress :o)
ReplyDeleteBlessings & Aloha!
So happy to be back after my long blog break! Hope you are doing well!
Hey send me photos, I can help you with decisions! I would LOVE to!
ReplyDeleteI love the brick in that first picture!
ReplyDeleteI have trouble making decorating decisions too...and so I never upadate anything. It's a terrible feeling, I know.
Well, we've had a piece of cardboard covering a hole in the dining room wall where we removed the brick chimney nearly three years ago. How bad is that? You are not alone, my dear Dana.
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't paint the bricks. I love them!
ReplyDelete=)
Oh leave the brick.
ReplyDeleteSO TIMELESS and modern and eternally nostalgic.
