Wishes: A True Story

Mom?  Do you think my allergies are gone?

I don't think so honey.

Why do you ask?

Well I played with the cats yesterday at Celine's house and my eyes didn't itch.

Do you think we could get a pet?

Mom, my eyes didn't even itch at all, and I even touched the dog too.

Well honey, it's probably not a good idea.

Mommy is allergic too, and it's hard not to be licked by them once they live with you, because that's how they show you they love you.

Mom?  Can you help me?

Sure Honey.  What are you making?

A bowl, and it's not working.

Sure,  Mom knows how to make a bowl.

Honey....Why are you making a bowl?

For my Dog.  He needs a food dish.

For your Dog?

Yeah,  he's sitting on the couch.  But don't worry he has a leash on.

Well that was very responsible of you to think of that, we wouldn't want him running all over the place.

Well . . . I think Wishes is probably the luckiest dog in the whole wide world.

I also think I'm probably the luckiest Mom in the whole wide world too.
