I finally did it.
I was stuck in a rut.
A rut of: frizzy-flyaways-I'll-never-get-out-of-this-rut kind of rut, rut.
But I conquered my fear of incapable hairdressers.
I have quite a few horror stories
(just ask the Agronomist about one incident involving bridesmaids, back-combing and ribbon)
It wasn't pretty.
But I conquered my fear.
Thankfully.
(in large part due to a wonderful girl named Andrea)
The girls have been asking me when I'll get a new look,
with Eldest repeatedly asking me if she could
"actually style my hair."
I thought it was time to take a hint
A New Look for 2011.
Happy New Year Friends!
See you on the other side : )
xoxo
PS... I'll be revealing my non-resolutions tomorrow. I have some doozies.

ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous ! Happy New Year! I saw a wig the other day and I fell in love with it . It's not that I don't think I have nice hair , it's that I haven't found the right hairdresser. However, I think I would feel wierd wearing it because I'm a little shy

ReplyDeleteWill you be telling us more about the back-combing? I hope so...
Very chic, very hip, Dana.
ReplyDeleteI understand your trepidation re. hair stylists. I've been searching for a new one since "mine" moved to the Twin Cities.
The last time I had my hair cut, the hairdresser snipped his fingers and had to run for a band-aid. He also had a book propped up on a chair to use as a reference while he cut my hair. And, his arm pits smelled! Although the hair style turned out nothing like the one in the book, I got lots of compliments. Will I return to him? NO! I can't risk it!
True story. Honest.
You are a stunning thing you.
ReplyDeleteI now have hair envy.
But that may be because stellar jays are nesting in mine these days.
Lookin' good Dana!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
