I'm Hitting The Road...Wanna Come?

I've decided to hit the road!
You can come if you want to?   It will be a lot of fun.  I promise!
A blogging series is occurring this month. Several really wonderful bloggers have begun
"A 31 days to..."
One of the most frustrating and surprising things about hosting your own blog, is how little time you have to read other's blogs.  It's a catch 22.  Likely as a blogger you decided to create your own little space in the blogosphere, because of how inspired you were by others.  That was definitely the case for me.
So I've decided to make an excruciating decision.  One that makes me weep at odd moments in the day. I have decided that this month we need to take a little break.  I think it's for the best.  We need to be able to see other people.
You will be seeing less of me, I will be seeing less of you.. I think it's for the best... for both of us.

It won't be forever.  Just for one month.  I just think I need to I be posting less and reading more.  I want to really enjoy all that these ladies have to offer.  I can't even imagine the amount of work that must have gone into creating a quality post every single day for the whole month?  So I for one, am going to visit.
There is a series below about taking a better photo... oh me, me... I want to learn how!
And then there is the series about  having a less messy nest... yup... sign me up. I'm there!
And I would also like to travel down the road of less is more.
I would also love to know how to entertain without stressing over it.  And I mean really entertain, not just throwing burgers on the barbecue and calling it a night.
You know, casual is nice and all, but sometimes maybe it would be nice to put a table cloth on our table to place a well constructed (cooked by me) meal on top of it?
So yes the road is filled with many pit stops and I'm extremely excited about my little mini vacation.
So you see my dilemma?  I can't be a homebody, and travel extensively at the same time. So I have no idea when I will be posting, if at all.
But you know what's funny?  I have a feeling I will be so inspired by all these great ladies, that I won't be able to help myself and will end up posting ten times a day! (kidding)  I will plop a photo in, here and there, especially if I've learned something new, or perhaps show you my new improved messless nest? (here's hoping.)
Here is an itinerary of my road trip.  It would be great to have a few of you come along, I drive a '96 pimped out Suburban and I have lots of room.  The coolness factor is truly amazing.... So just hop in, we're already late.  Day five is waiting for our arrival.

Have a wonderful October!  I will show up when it's least expected, with some wonderful
goodies for you....because I really appreciate every single blogger, friend and family member
who visits here every week.  You (and your wonderful comments) are the reason I enjoy this cyber-home of mine... and also the fact that you can come for a visit and I don't have to worryabout dusting or trying to hide my unfolded laundry : )

Love ya like biscotti (even when I don't have any coffee to dip it in),

  1. You are killing me I want to follow at least five of those! But where will I find the time? I've already quit housework and showers, what's next?

  2. Yes - it's such a dilemma. More blogging = less time to read other blogs and more reading = less blogging! Oh, and then there is another little thing called work! I definitely will be checking out The Nester's series and also the photography series. Have fun out there in blogland!

  4. Yes, yes, and yes.

I was just thinking that same thing today.

I spent the afternoon visiting blogs I used to know so well...and was amazed at how funny, creative, talented, and wonderfully likeable every blogger was.

I miss that. I miss that I miss all these great posts.

I want to do the same thing. Just read and catch up and reconnect and not post for awhile. It is the best for both of us.

And, I love a mutual decision like this.

    I'm so with you.

But, you will be visiting and I will be missing ...you.

Do you have ANY idea how big of a hit your supermodel post was??? Over 80 comments on people that are using it for Xmas photos, pix of their grandmas, surprises for their hubbies.

All.great.stuff that you point me to.

So, yeah, you going atravelin' will hurt me, but I know you gotta do what you gotta do.

And, true love means letting the bird fly...or something like that that I remember my high school boyfriend telling me our senior year before he left for college.

    But, you'll come back...right?

    Right?

Love you gobs and tons...and more..

    xo

  13. I understand wholeheartedly, then try working, mothering, chauffeuring, cooking, etc and there is NO time!
I am excited about the 31 days to better photos- need all the help I can get with my SLR! So far my hubby says the pictures I take aren't good. There is some comfort with my small digital point and shoot!

    Enjoy your break (road trip)!

  14. But...but....but we will miss you!!

A little travel is good for the soul though. As long as you come back home. Otherwise we will all have to pile into my fictional convertible and go track you down. Just think what a mess my hair will be after that. You don't want to do that to me.
