Off Kilter

Even though everything is so beautiful and colourful here in Oceanside, I can't help but feel a little off kilter.

But don't feel too sorry for me.  This is what greets me everytime I arrive and leave the Inn.
It is a warm and homey, home away from home.

Plus I can jump from bed to bed and do as many belly flops as I want.
And no one is the wiser.
Except for maybe the elderly couple right below me.

Aaaaand for the first time in a very long time.
I do not have to share a bathroom with four other people.
This is a true highlight.
One I will cherish for many years to come.

I went for a walk today and was amazed at how big the California seagulls were.
It made me wonder about the water quality here, until they flew right over top of me and I realized they were Pelicans.
I've been eating out too.
Quite healthily I might add.
There was a day where the bowl of BlueLily's peanut M&M's got the best of me.
But I have made up for it with good behaviour ever since.

When I went for my walk along the seawall I took lots of pictures.

I tried out some new settings.
And ate a salad on some rocks along the beach

But as beautiful as it was.
It didn't... and doesn't fill the void I am feeling....without these three beauties,
and the guy who they call Dad, by my side.

With my fingers crossed.
I am tracking my UPS package with my birth certificate, and hope that I will be on a plane home soon.

I don't care if it is -31 back home.
I will be plenty warm once I have these goofs back in my arms.

Love ya like a  (fingers crossed) happy Custom's Officer,

xoxo

PS if you're curious about the Blue Lily GoPro photography workshop I attended here in Oceanside?
Here is a great post by a wonderful lady named Debbie, who I had a chance to get to know this past weekend. And another post by Meg Duerksen from whatever.

I am so glad they are blogging about our BlueLily experience, while I stay here keeping busy belly flopping from bed to bed.

This post will be linking up with Darcy at My3Boybarians for
Go ahead and drop by to see wonderful photography from all over blogland.

  1. I am sorry your are still stuck here in CA but at least you are in a beautiful part of the state. My daughter, who lives in Mission Beach said the weather has been good so that is a plus. I hope your stuff arrives promptly so you can get back to your family.

Thankyou sooooo much for the encouraging comment you left me too. Make sure that you check out today's post for the update - besides, it'll give you something to do in between the bed jumping :-)

Hope you get home soon xx

  17. You know what comes to mind? That the universe knew you needed time alone and a different space to cement in all you learned at this workshop.

    That's what I think.
