Soldiering Through Halloween

Now that you will never be able to wipe this image from your mind, when thinking of Bungalow'56;  I hope you won't think less of me.
I happened to be going out with a young man who was in the Canadian Armed Forces.
This costume seemed like the "easy" way to go.
And I mean easy, as in effortless, simple and uncomplicated.

My Sister-Friend had chosen the perfect costume.
Not too racy yet cute as a button's ear.
Which leads me to the question? Do buttons have ears? I will have to look into this further and get back to you.
So just as we were leaving, for some reason I felt my costume needed that... something extra... a little lift... a few perks per se?
I was a drama student and decided to go the way of a few tricks made famous by Marilyn Monroe.
You see?  I had dreams of making it "big" one way, or another.

Suffice to say, I didn't realize what kind of reception I would be getting.
Crowds were hard to maneuver.
I almost poked a few eyes out.
Thankfully barking orders like "Get Out Of My Way Soldier!" held me in good stead.

So the evening proceeded as follows:
Me, shouting at people in my way and never smiling.
She, batting her eyelashes as she smiled while demurely looking under her veil.
I had much to learn.

My Sister-Friend and I did not break character once throughout the evening.
I just wish I could have said the same for my bazooms balloons : )

Love ya like marbles,
(and mini Coffee Crisp chocolate bars!)

   xoxo

PS
I was young and foolish. Please don't hold it against me.
I only dress up like old grannies now, but come to think of it? They still always have big bazooms.
I guess I may not be young anymore, but I've managed to retain the foolish.
